Generative Design

Generating a visual identity through creative coding

Context

We asked the machine what does it see.

Bits of data dissected from a film, abstracted and rearranged into new clusters of visual data, mixed, folded, transformed, blended, compressed, stretched. An endless iteration.
A digital hallucination through the eyes of the machine, a performative process created by the machine on top of a human narrative.

This generative process resulted in a series of static and animated posters that keep being mixed, transformed and generated for as long as the process is active, resulting in an endless stream of materials.

A research project born out of our experimentations with generative design, exploring the capabilities of creative coding in the fields of graphic design and how it could be applied in different scenarios, for this application we used this process to generate a visual identity.
